    Strategy Marketplace User Guide

    Overview

The Strategy Marketplace is where you can discover, purchase, and deploy trading strategies created by other BlockbotX users. Strategies are pre-built bot configurations -- complete with indicator settings, risk parameters, and trading logic -- that you can apply to your own bots without having to design everything from scratch. You can also create and sell your own strategies to earn revenue from the community.

The marketplace supports browsing, filtering, favoriting, purchasing (one-time or subscription), reviewing, and deploying strategies directly to a new bot.

    Browsing Strategies

    Main View

Navigate to the Strategies Marketplace page from the dashboard sidebar. You will see a page with the heading "Strategies Marketplace" and the subtitle "Discover, compare, and acquire AI-powered trading strategies for crypto markets."

The marketplace is organized into four tabs:

    • All: Every available strategy in the marketplace.
    • Featured: Strategies highlighted by the platform for their quality or performance.
    • Favorites: Strategies you have favorited for quick access.
    • Purchased: Strategies you have already bought.

    Featured Strategies

When viewing the All tab, a "Featured Strategies" section appears at the top of the page showing up to three highlighted strategies. These are selected by the platform and typically represent high-quality, well-reviewed strategies.

    Strategy Cards

Each strategy is displayed as a card showing:

    • Name and description: A brief summary of what the strategy does.
    • Category badge: The strategy type (e.g., AI-Powered, Trend Following, Arbitrage).
    • Status badges: Additional labels such as "Free," "New," or "Trending."
    • Performance chart: A small chart showing historical performance.
    • Monthly return: The strategy's monthly return percentage, color-coded green for positive and red for negative.
    • Win rate: The percentage of trades that resulted in a profit.
    • Risk level: Low, Medium, or High.
    • Star rating: The community rating based on user reviews.
    • Creator: The strategy author's name and verification status.
    • Users: The number of people who have purchased this strategy.
    • Price: The cost to purchase, or "Free" if no payment is required. Subscription strategies show the annual price.

    Searching

Use the search bar at the top of the page to search strategies by name, description, or keyword. Type your query and results will filter in real time.

    Purchasing a Strategy

    Pricing Models

Strategies use one of three pricing models:

    1. Free: No payment required. Click "Get Free Strategy" to add it to your purchased strategies immediately.

    2. One-time purchase: A single payment for lifetime access. The price is shown on the strategy card and in the details modal. Click "Buy Now" to purchase.

    3. Subscription: Recurring access with two billing options:

      • Yearly (recommended): A discounted annual rate. The modal shows how much you save compared to monthly billing.
      • Monthly: A higher per-month rate, billed monthly. You can cancel at any time.

    What You Get

All purchases (free, one-time, and subscription) include:

    • Free updates when the creator improves the strategy
    • Technical support
    • Use on multiple exchanges
    • Customizable parameters

    How to Purchase

    1. Browse the marketplace and find a strategy you want.
    2. Click Details on the strategy card to open the details modal.
    3. Review the performance metrics, risk metrics, trading details, and creator information.
    4. In the Purchase Options panel on the right, select your preferred plan (yearly or monthly for subscription strategies).
    5. Click Buy Now, Subscribe, or Get Free Strategy.
    6. Complete the payment process through Stripe.
    7. The strategy is added to your Purchased tab.

    Deploying a Strategy

After purchasing a strategy, you can deploy it as a live or paper trading bot.

    1. Go to the Purchased tab in the Strategy Marketplace. This shows all strategies you have bought.
    2. Select the strategy you want to deploy and open its details.
    3. Click Deploy to create a new bot based on the strategy's configuration.
    4. On the bot creation page, configure the following:
      • Exchange: Select the exchange to trade on (Binance or OKX). The strategy's supported exchanges are listed in its details.
      • Trading mode: Choose Paper Trading (simulated, no real money) or Live Trading (real orders on your exchange).
      • Trading pair: Select from the strategy's supported pairs.
      • Risk parameters: Adjust stop-loss, take-profit, position size, max positions, and other risk controls. The strategy provides recommended defaults, but you can override them.
    5. Save the bot configuration.
    6. Click Start to begin trading.

It is strongly recommended to start with paper trading when deploying a newly purchased strategy. This lets you observe the strategy's behavior with real market data before committing real funds.

    Creating and Selling Strategies

You can create trading strategies based on your own bot configurations and list them on the marketplace for other users to purchase.

    Creating a Strategy

    1. Configure a bot with the strategy, indicators, risk settings, and trading pair you want to package.
    2. Once you are satisfied with the bot's performance, navigate to the strategy creation flow.
    3. Fill in the strategy listing details:
      • Name: A clear, descriptive name (e.g., "BTC Momentum Breakout" or "ETH Mean Reversion Scalper").
      • Description: Explain what the strategy does, what market conditions it works best in, and what makes it unique.
      • Category: Select the appropriate category (AI-Powered, Trend Following, Mean Reversion, Breakout, Scalping, Grid Trading, DCA, or Arbitrage).
      • Tags: Add relevant tags to help buyers find your strategy (e.g., "Bitcoin," "Low Risk," "Swing Trading").
      • Supported exchanges: Specify which exchanges the strategy works on.
      • Supported pairs: List the trading pairs the strategy is designed for.
    4. Set your pricing:
      • Free: List the strategy at no cost to build your reputation and follower count.
      • One-time price: Set a fixed price for lifetime access.
      • Subscription: Set monthly and yearly rates. The platform shows a "Recommended" badge on the yearly option.
    5. Submit your strategy for listing.

    Tracking Sales

Once your strategy is listed, you can monitor its performance on the marketplace:

    • Number of purchases
    • Revenue earned
    • Average rating and review count
    • Follower count

    Viewing Your Strategies

The marketplace tabs provide quick access to different views of your strategies:

    All Tab

Browse the full marketplace catalog of all available strategies from all creators.

    Featured Tab

View strategies that have been highlighted by the platform. Featured strategies typically have strong performance records, high ratings, and active creators.

    Favorites Tab

View strategies you have favorited by clicking the heart icon on strategy cards. Use favorites to bookmark strategies you want to revisit or compare later. You can toggle a strategy's favorite status from:

    • The heart icon on any strategy card
    • The "Add to Favorites" / "Favorited" button in the strategy details modal

Favorites are saved to your account and persist across sessions.

    Purchased Tab

View all strategies you have purchased. From here you can review their performance, deploy them as bots, or leave reviews.

    Reviews and Ratings

    Reading Reviews

Before purchasing a strategy, check its rating and review count. These are displayed on:

    • The strategy card (star rating)
    • The strategy details modal (star rating with review count)

Higher ratings and more reviews generally indicate a more reliable strategy, though you should always review the performance metrics independently.

    Leaving a Review

After purchasing a strategy, you can leave a review:

    1. Open the strategy from your Purchased tab.
    2. Submit a star rating (1 to 5 stars).
    3. Optionally add a written comment describing your experience with the strategy.

Your review helps other users make informed purchasing decisions and provides feedback to the strategy creator.

    Tips for Success

    1. Check performance metrics over multiple time periods. Do not rely solely on the monthly return. Switch between 1D, 1W, 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y, and All time periods in the performance chart to see how the strategy behaves across different market conditions.

    2. Read reviews from other users. Community feedback provides insights that raw performance numbers cannot capture, such as how well the strategy handles volatile markets or how responsive the creator is to questions.

    3. Start with paper trading when deploying a new strategy. Even if a strategy has excellent historical performance, deploy it in paper mode first to verify that it performs as expected with your exchange account and settings.

    4. Compare risk metrics, not just returns. A strategy with a 50% annual return but a 40% max drawdown is riskier than one with a 30% return and a 10% max drawdown. Pay attention to the win rate, profit factor, and max drawdown alongside raw returns.

    5. Lower price does not always mean lower quality. Some creators list strong strategies for free to build reputation. Conversely, a high price does not guarantee good performance. Always evaluate the metrics.

    6. Diversify across multiple strategies. Running a single strategy concentrates your risk. Consider purchasing and deploying strategies from different categories (e.g., a Trend Following strategy alongside a Mean Reversion strategy) to reduce correlation risk.

    7. Review supported exchanges and pairs. Make sure the strategy supports your connected exchange (Binance or OKX) and the trading pairs you want to trade before purchasing.

    8. Favorite strategies for later comparison. Use the favorites feature to bookmark interesting strategies, then compare them side by side before committing to a purchase.
