Strategy Marketplace User Guide
Overview
The Strategy Marketplace is where you can discover, purchase, and deploy trading strategies created by other BlockbotX users. Strategies are pre-built bot configurations -- complete with indicator settings, risk parameters, and trading logic -- that you can apply to your own bots without having to design everything from scratch. You can also create and sell your own strategies to earn revenue from the community.
The marketplace supports browsing, filtering, favoriting, purchasing (one-time or subscription), reviewing, and deploying strategies directly to a new bot.

What You Get
All purchases (free, one-time, and subscription) include:
- Free updates when the creator improves the strategy

Deploying a Strategy
After purchasing a strategy, you can deploy it as a live or paper trading bot.
- Go to the Purchased tab in the Strategy Marketplace. This shows all strategies you have bought.
- Select the strategy you want to deploy and open its details.
- Click Deploy to create a new bot based on the strategy's configuration.
- On the bot creation page, configure the following:

- Risk parameters: Adjust stop-loss, take-profit, position size, max positions, and other risk controls. The strategy provides recommended defaults, but you can override them.

It is strongly recommended to start with paper trading when deploying a newly purchased strategy. This lets you observe the strategy's behavior with real market data before committing real funds.

Viewing Your Strategies
The marketplace tabs provide quick access to different views of your strategies:
All Tab
Browse the full marketplace catalog of all available strategies from all creators.
Featured Tab
View strategies that have been highlighted by the platform. Featured strategies typically have strong performance records, high ratings, and active creators.
Favorites Tab
View strategies you have favorited by clicking the heart icon on strategy cards. Use favorites to bookmark strategies you want to revisit or compare later. You can toggle a strategy's favorite status from:
- The heart icon on any strategy card
- The "Add to Favorites" / "Favorited" button in the strategy details modal
Favorites are saved to your account and persist across sessions.
Purchased Tab
View all strategies you have purchased. From here you can review their performance, deploy them as bots, or leave reviews.
Reviews and Ratings
Reading Reviews
Before purchasing a strategy, check its rating and review count. These are displayed on:
- The strategy card (star rating)
- The strategy details modal (star rating with review count)
Higher ratings and more reviews generally indicate a more reliable strategy, though you should always review the performance metrics independently.
Leaving a Review
After purchasing a strategy, you can leave a review:
- Open the strategy from your Purchased tab.
- Submit a star rating (1 to 5 stars).
- Optionally add a written comment describing your experience with the strategy.
Your review helps other users make informed purchasing decisions and provides feedback to the strategy creator.
Tips for Success
-
Check performance metrics over multiple time periods. Do not rely solely on the monthly return. Switch between 1D, 1W, 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y, and All time periods in the performance chart to see how the strategy behaves across different market conditions.
-
Read reviews from other users. Community feedback provides insights that raw performance numbers cannot capture, such as how well the strategy handles volatile markets or how responsive the creator is to questions.
-
Start with paper trading when deploying a new strategy. Even if a strategy has excellent historical performance, deploy it in paper mode first to verify that it performs as expected with your exchange account and settings.
-
Compare risk metrics, not just returns. A strategy with a 50% annual return but a 40% max drawdown is riskier than one with a 30% return and a 10% max drawdown. Pay attention to the win rate, profit factor, and max drawdown alongside raw returns.
-
Lower price does not always mean lower quality. Some creators list strong strategies for free to build reputation. Conversely, a high price does not guarantee good performance. Always evaluate the metrics.
-
Diversify across multiple strategies. Running a single strategy concentrates your risk. Consider purchasing and deploying strategies from different categories (e.g., a Trend Following strategy alongside a Mean Reversion strategy) to reduce correlation risk.
-
Review supported exchanges and pairs. Make sure the strategy supports your connected exchange (Binance or OKX) and the trading pairs you want to trade before purchasing.
-
Favorite strategies for later comparison. Use the favorites feature to bookmark interesting strategies, then compare them side by side before committing to a purchase.
